Coral Gardens Pearl Sconce
Stoneware, underglaze,  glaze, stains,
LED lightbuld
Part of the ongoing Coral Gardens series, Pearl Sconce explores the relationship between marine ecology, sculptural form, and functional design. Inspired by the intricate structures and organic growth patterns of coral reefs, the work translates underwater morphologies into a functional lighting sculpture.

A luminous LED bulb protrudes from the center of the ceramic reef formation, resembling a pearl nestled within the coral. The interplay between light and textured ceramic emphasizes the reef's sculptural complexity, transforming the piece into an atmospheric presence.

By bringing marine-inspired forms into domestic environments, Pearl Sconce collapses the distance between land and sea, inviting moments of curiosity, wonder, and connection with the natural world.
