Lost wax casted bronze.
During the Bronze Age, Armenians were deeply engaged in metalwork, creating enduring forms that carried their beliefs, myths, and ways of life. Over centuries of conquest and war, much of that legacy has been lost. Returning to bronze as a medium, I reconnect with the ancestral knowledge that lives within me.
Unlike traditional monuments that embody stoicism, this figure bears tears - making emotion visible. In doing so, it transforms vulnerability into a form of defiance. The tears are not signs of fragility but of courage: a declaration that to feel deeply and openly is an act of strength and vitality. This work bridges myth and modernity. Offering a renewed monument that honors both the goddess and the human capacity to endure, grieve, and heal through creation.
